Mary Clay Kline is a junior Journalism major at the University of Alabama who hails from the Mississippi Delta.  The hot tamales, fried okra and off-the-vine tomatoes from her homeland, among other things, established her affinities for food and Southern culture.  She spends much of her free time in her kitchen, and upon her absence one would likely find her browsing the farmer’s market, or reading or writing about food.  Mary Clay hopes to pursue a career in food journalism upon graduating.
